TEAM RULES

One of the cool things about the Super Touring Championship is the inclusion of Teams. Teams consist of up to two drivers with each scoring points individually as well as towards a Team Championship.

If you don't want to be on a team, no worries! We welcome all independent drivers as well!

Please note: These rules are still in the preliminary stage.

Teams

Anyone can create a 2-man team by filling out the Driver Application form with the team name.

While we encourage drivers to mimic the real V8 Supercar teams, any name will do as long as it's in good taste. Follow this link to check out the current, full-size Super Cars teams for inspiration: https://www.supercars.com/teams/.

Car Livery

Shell V-Power V8 SupercarAs a team, both cars will need to be identical in paint with the only discernable difference being the car number (or possibly some small change in the paint).

Your permanent car number should be on both sides of the car in the rear window (see image to the right). This will help identify your car on the track and which team you are on.

Scoring

All drivers in each race score points towards both the Driver’s and the Team's Championships.

For example, if in a given race, Shell Racing teammate 1 finishes second and Shell Racing teammate finishes fifth, then both drivers score their individual points towards the Driver’s Championship. Their combined points, however, go towards the Team Championship. The throw-out rule does not affect the Constructor’s Championship points; all points for the season will be used.
