After many successful seasons with the UF1 (https://uf1rc.com/), we had been talking about a new Series with a 4WD Touring Car of some sort. One of the designers from Team Associated, running in the UF1 Series, came to me with an idea based on a new car they were about to come out with - the ST550.

This car was rolls on the Apex2 Sport chassis with the entry level crowd in mind. It is available in RTR trim, has good electronics and topped with a killer Australian V8 SuperCar body! That 1:1 series was always a favorite of ours - big, bulky cars going head to head around some of the coolest tracks in the world.

We had a chat about it and agreed that, with a few minor upgrades, this could prove to be a really cool Spec Series - and the Super Touring Championship was formed.

The real SuperCar racing format is a bit different than standard racing - different qualifying, different race lengths, different scoring - so we decided to mimic all of it in the STC. It should prove to be a fun and exciting Series!

Our first Season will include an 6-race Series at Cal Raceway. Follow up Series will travel around to local tracks in the area.
